The Exorcist (William Friedkin, 1973) is the assigned film for 3 June 2008. It was the biggest box-office attraction of the year and one of the biggest box-office hits in Hollywood history. We'll study the film mainly from the point of view of its Oscar-winning sound track as well as its editing. At the same time, we'll consider how these elements advance the film's themes.
