CITY LIGHTS

TO STUDY both acting and film grammar, view this three-minute segment showing the final sequence of Charles Chaplin's classic, City Lights (1931). The sequence, along with the final close-up, is one of the most famous in film history. A study picture is attached.
NOTE: Sound films had replaced silent films since 1927. But Chaplin's celebrity was so great that he continued releasing silent films, or at least films without dialogue, well into the sound era.
